It is a removable medium like a floppy; just larger. Examples are the ZIP disk, the Jaz drive and the LS-120 superdisk. Like floppies, superfloppies do not use partitions, the entire medium stores data. They do not make use of the “RDB”, the rigid disk block. They may also come in variable sizes. And like floppies, the Amiga file systems, when we use the ones we prepared, are smart enough to adapt themselves to the size of the medium.
